New politics needed
Last night, I heard for the first time 44th Assembly District candidate Adam Murray speak.
He looks like a 21-year-old young Republican until he opens his mouth.
I was impressed and more so after reading his bio on his Web site (www.murray2006.com).
There are fine Democratic candidates in this race, ones I've given
money to, but none who are in agreement with all my issues, except for
Murray.
I'm through with politics as usual with the status
quo. I thank all the Democratic candidates for their determination to
publicly serve us and I'll be voting for Adam Murray June 6.

Wants more `Murray'
Your characterization of Anthony Portantino's opponent in the
state race, Adam Murray, as merely a "Los Angeles attorney" does not
tell the full story.
Murray has been endorsed by labor rights
groups such as the United Farm Workers, and active progressive groups
like the Pasadena Chapter of Democracy for America.
Murray also teaches economics at East Los Angeles College.
He is exactly the charismatic leader the district needs in Sacramento.
He certainly deserves more than such short shrift.
I look forward to broader and deeper coverage of this race, and of Murray, than you have hitherto offered.
